Anna struggled to find a local contractor to complete the works deemed necessary by the survey, which included some large Ash trees overhanging footpaths so she contacted Chop and Change to help.

DOMESTICTREE FELLINGREDUCTIONChop and Change was contacted by the local Thatcher who told us that the trees were causing damage to Mrs Lawrence’s roof. We met Mrs Lawrence on site and discussed the works necessary to protect the thatch roof. This involved the reduction of one mature yew tree and the removal of two holly trees growing directly above the property.

DEADWOODCOMMERCIALTREE FELLINGThe Bushcraft Company Ltd had a tree report commissioned to look at the health and safety of the trees around their campsites. Chop and Change was commissioned to help make the trees safe while maintaining the biodiversity of the woodlands. Any snapped or wind damaged trees were made safe while the snapped wounds were managed and left so organisms could inhabit them. Logs were put into piles for invertebrates and brash was stacked so the children could use it as makeshift camps and for firewood.
